Jonnie started experimenting with hair color at an early age. As a true artist, he started his career as a colorist 13 years ago working exclusively with L'Oreal Professionel products. While working in Newport Beach, one of the most exclusive areas in Orange County, he decided to go against the trend of over processed hair colors and focus on creating natural tones to enhance the individual style of each one of his clients. Jonnie is an expert in Balayage, which is a technique that creates beautiful dimension through graduated color contrast. He loves spreading "Balayage Love " to bring out the beauty of each client. As an Educator/Portfolio Artist for L'Oreal Professionel, he has eagerly shared his knowledge and expertise with other hairdressers. Jonnie prides himself on staying up-to-date with the latest developments in order to give his clients the highest level of service. His goal is to use his talents and skills to get the best results for everyone who comes to sit in his chair.
Abel has been in the hair industry for 10 years. He started out his education at Paul Mitchell the School in Costa Mesa, CA. While in school, he had the opportunity to work with celebrity colorist Beth Minardi and Paul Mitchell platform artist Melissa Jaqua. After completing his schooling, he apprenticed at Cristophe Salon in Newport Beach, CA. After being at Cristophe, he decided to change things up and try the Los Angeles neighborhood. There he landed an apprentice position with Author, celebrity stylist Carrie White, who does the likes of, Sandra Bullock, Amber Valletta, Wallis Annenberg, to name a few. It was there where he decided that hair cutting and styling were his strong points. He definitely felt that the “LA” scene gave him thicker skin and a backbone to be able to handle all types of personalities. Although he enjoyed The City of Angels, he also wanted to continue his education in Counseling, so after moving back to Orange County, he finished is apprentice program in Newport Beach, CA. Abel has always had the mentality that education never gets old. He continued his education through the Bumble and Bumble academy in New York, and trained with L’oreal Professionel and Kevin Murphy. Abel agrees that the key to being a successful hairdresser is humility and having a good ear. Every client wants to feel that they are being cared for and listened to.
Kelli's positive energy and passion for the industry is a perfect fit here at Blanc Noir. If there is anything Kelli loves most about her career as a colorist, its that she is able share her passion for beauty and creating relationships with her clients. Kelli loves welcoming new guest and previous guest with the same consistent passion and enthusiasm as if each visit is the first. She prides herself in her career as a colorist and continuously perusing education to her craft. Kelli truly believes that we should never stop learning and share our successes. She also specializes in the top desired technique , balayage, creating soft dimensional radiant haircolor. When Kelli is not behind the chair, she is out teaching as a color Artist for L'Oreal Professionnel, sharing her goal as Artist to give back what she has received with her journey as a stylist and help others find the best in themselves.
Lauren has been with Blanc Noir Hairdressing since it originated in 2012. Starting out as a receptionist, her passion for the industry grew and Lauren decided to start her journey as a Hairdresser. Jonathan took Lauren under his wing as his assistant while she completed our salon’s apprenticeship program. She has been a muse for Balayage in the salon with her gorgeous mane of hair. Lauren loves to talk with guests and connect with them. Her positive attitude and willingness to learn makes her a great asset to the team. If Lauren is not working she may be found at GRIT cycling or lounging by the pool with family and friends.
Tyler is a Newport Beach native, who has been in the beauty industry for many years now. She started working as a sales coach at Ulta Beauty after she wanted to gain even more experience in the beauty industry and found the position at BNH. Tyler has been with the Blanc Noir team from the very beginning starting as a receptionist and was quickly promoted to Salon Director based on her strong customer service skills. She enjoys client relations and making sure each guest feels at home and well cared for. When she is not a Blanc Noir Hair she is enjoying time with her soon to be husband Dallas and bunny Pumpernickel.
Carissa is the youngest and newest member of the Blanc Noir family! She is the newest addition to our front desk lineup as a part time receptionist and brings a spunky and enthusiastic energy to our salon. Carissa was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA and has recently graduated from Edison High School. Ever since she was a young girl she has always had a passion for fashion and the beauty industry. When at work, Carissa always makes sure our clientele is taken care of. Her favorite part of working the front desk is meeting so many new faces as well as getting to know our salon’s diverse group of clientele. Outside of the salon, Carissa is always outside in the sun and spending time with her beloved friends and family. Overall, her contagious positive attitude and fun-loving personality is a perfect addition to the radiant atmosphere of Blanc Noir and its staff.
Darren naturally gravitated toward hairdressing simply by trying to find a different and exciting medium of art. He began his experience working along side some of California's most talented stylists in Beverly Hills and Orange County where he quickly developed a love for the culture and the craft. In addition to being a full time stylist behind the chair, Darren travels the country teaching other industry proffesionals modern and fashion forward haircuts and techniques as a national artist for Hattori Hanzo Shears.
With a cutting base in Sassoon and Toni and Guy, Darren masterfully blends the two utilizing strong haircut foundations and advanced texturizing. He believes hair should be beautiful, effortless and unique to each individual. “to embrace natural hair texture and pair it with complimenting cutting methods comes easy and minimal styling”.
Chloe is a northwest girl drawn to the beautiful and sunny California. She knew she wanted to be in the hairdressing industry since she was very young. She graduated from Aveda Institute, Los Angeles. As her passion grew, she decided she was more drawn to the color side of the trade. Chloe is now a colorist here at Blanc Noir Hairdressing and has been trained extensively by the amazing team of educators here in house in addition to the L'Oréal Professional Expert Program and other classes from Redken, Kevin Murphy and Oribe, and Brazilian Blowout. Her passion for learning grows with each and every education opportunity. In her time away from the salon, she enjoys going to the beach, being active, spending time with her family and her two kitties.
Liz has always been a hardworking person. She's always ready to make anyone feel beautiful from the inside out. She had always been a beauty queen in her high school marching band and loved to help others out. When it came it her career choice, she made a 180° when she decided to go from U.S. Army Band Training to Beauty School. Liz attended school at Career Academy of Beauty in Garden Grove. While in school, she had the incredible opportunity to work with artists from Sassoon and attended the extern program at Sassoon Salon in Costa Mesa. After graduating beauty school, she immediately started in beauty as an assistant. There, she learned all color and cutting techniques through a L'oreal salon with celebrity educators such as Jason Backe and DJ McGinley. She moved her way up until she became a stylist. As a stylist, she had education with Kerastase (updo classes), Shu Umera (updo classes), and Bumble & Bumble (cutting classes). After a year, she was ready for the changes ahead. She moved to Huntington Beach and moved her career to Blanc Noir Hairdressing all in one go. She's proud to call herself a stylist and is grateful to focus on her passion in hair cutting. Liz loves helping all of her new clients/friends. Her goal is to become an educator and teach others how wonderful it is to work in the beauty industry.

Allie was born into the world of beauty. Growing up in a midwestern salon she has always had a passion for the beauty industry. She followed her mother’s footsteps and started her professional career 12 years ago. For the last 2 years she has been traveling the country and working exclusively with L’Oreal Professionnel alongside some of their top Artists. Allie showcases her clientele’s natural beauty by creating beautiful, soft color with balayage and trending techniques. Education is a passion of hers and is a firm believer in continuing her education every few months. Allie takes pride in her relationships with her cliental along with ensuring the overall health of their hair during the coloring process. When not in the salon she also shares her passion and knowledge of the industry as an artist with L’Oreal Professionnel.
